Canada Council for the Arts
in 2009, I was fortunate to travel from
Toronto to Vancouver Island and participate
in the annual cedar bark harvest.

and share her harvesting & weaving expertise with me!

The sleeping beauty in my arms is now a dash-about three-year-old toddler-time flies!
What I enjoyed most about visiting with a number of
Nuu-chah-nulth Weaver's was how everyone was
inspired to use cedar in contemporary ways.
